Side-hung, top-hung and tilt-turn aluminium casement window systems for commercial offices, hospitals, institutional buildings and high-rise towers. 6063-T5 alloy. Single and double glazed. ECBC compliant. Pan India supply.
Get a QuoteAluminium casement windows from Railings India are manufactured in 6063-T5 architectural aluminium alloy in side-hung, top-hung and tilt-turn configurations. Available in single-glazed and double-glazed (DGU) options for ECBC 2017 energy performance compliance. Multipoint locking hardware with weather seals for commercial and institutional buildings. The specified choice for hospital buildings, institutional campuses and commercial office towers requiring individual room ventilation control.
Aluminium casement windows are the standard window specification for hospital patient rooms, consultation suites and administrative zones. Individual side-hung or tilt-turn operation allows patient-controlled ventilation. Top-hung configuration for high-level hospital corridor windows provides ventilation without security risk. Supplied to NABH-accredited hospital projects across India.
Aluminium casement windows for IIT and IIM campus buildings, government office blocks, university residential hostels and public sector institutions. ECBC-compliant DGU casement windows reduce cooling loads for air-conditioned institutional buildings — required for BEE-rated government buildings. CPWD specification references available on request.
Casement windows for high-rise residential tower projects — individual unit ventilation with weather-sealed, multipoint-locking performance. Wind load compliance to IS 875 Part 3 for the project location. Tilt-turn configuration for high floors where safety during cleaning is a specification requirement.
Aluminium casement windows integrated into commercial office facades — typically used at stairwell, lift lobby and back-of-house zones where sliding windows are not specified. ECBC-compliant DGU for office buildings targeting IGBC Green Building certification.
| Feature | Casement | Sliding |
|---|---|---|

| Ventilation efficiency | 100% of sash area | 50% of sash area |
| Weather seal quality | Compression seal — superior | Brush seal — standard |
| ECBC compliance | DGU available | DGU available |
| Best for | Hospitals, institutions, high floors | Offices, residential, retail |
| Locking | Multipoint espagnolette | Single-point inline lock |
| IS 875 compliance | Yes | Yes |
Side-hung casement windows are hinged on one vertical side and open like a door — providing maximum ventilation. Top-hung casement windows are hinged at the top and open outward from the bottom — providing ventilation with restricted opening, preferred for high-level hospital corridor windows and security-sensitive zones.
Yes. Our casement windows are available with double glazed units (DGU) meeting ECBC 2017 U-value requirements for commercial buildings. U-value and SHGC documentation is supplied for building energy performance submissions — required for BEE-rated government buildings and IGBC Green Building certification.
A tilt-turn window opens in two modes: tilting inward from the top for ventilation (secure position), or turning inward from the side like a casement for cleaning access. This configuration is specified for high-floor hospital and residential tower rooms where safe external cleaning is required.
All aluminium casement windows are designed to IS 875 Part 3 wind load requirements for the specific project wind zone. We supply structural calculations for window frames and glazing for all large project submissions. AAMA or EN 12211 test reports are available for projects requiring international standard certification.
We supply AutoCAD shop drawings (elevations, sections, detail at all connections), wind load calculations to IS 875 Part 3, U-value and SHGC calculations for DGU systems, hardware schedules and finish specifications. Full package for PMC and institutional authority submission.
DGU casement windows meeting ECBC 2017 energy standards and IS 875 wind load requirements. Full documentation for BEE-rated and IGBC-certified projects.
All three casement configurations available. Specify the right opening type for each building zone — hospital ward, corridor, high-floor residential.
Multipoint espagnolette locking with EPDM compression seals. Better weather performance than sliding windows — specified for high-rise towers and coastal institutional buildings.
Casement windows supplied to hospital, institutional and commercial tower projects across all states. Factory-direct pricing with Pan India logistics.

Request a QuoteSide-hung casement is the most common configuration — the panel hinges on the vertical edge, opening inward or outward. Outward-opening casements are preferred in India for natural ventilation effectiveness and to avoid the panel encroaching on interior floor space. Inward-opening is specified where external cleaning access from the outside is not feasible and internal cleaning of the outer face is required.
Top-hung awning windows hinge at the top edge and open outward at the bottom. They provide ventilation even during light rain — the open panel acts as an awning — and are commonly specified for hospitals, schools and institutional buildings where windows may be left open without continuous supervision.
Tilt-turn windows offer two opening modes from a single handle: tilting inward from the top (for secure ventilation) and turning fully inward on the side hinge (for cleaning and maximum ventilation). More complex hardware than side-hung, but increasingly specified for high-rise residential and institutional applications where secure ventilation and easy inside cleaning are both required.
Casement window hardware — hinges, espagnolette locks, handles — is supplied in SS 304 or powder-coated aluminium matching the frame finish. For high-rise applications above G+10, we specify multi-point locking systems where the lock engages at two or three points simultaneously, reducing frame deflection under wind load and improving weather seal performance. Child-safety restrictors (limiting opening width to 100mm maximum) are available and increasingly specified for residential towers following NBC 2016 recommendations.
